From Nicaruaga - attorney lists the claimants, then says the law is unconstitutional and what the claimants want would result in...this! Again, is there a fixed way in US English? TIA and here's the context...

No-one else has had a shot so here's my tuppence worth, although it is a bit of a guess.
The idea being that all these claimants are making an unconstitutional claim is exceptional/out of the ordinary.
