German term

Bahnkoppelung

German to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng Steuerung / control system
Context: "Diese Befehl sendet den Hauptbefehl einer Bahnkoppelung an die Achse."
This is from a table, listing system commands and their meaning / operation. The control system operates axles / axes.
So far, my own suggestion is "trajectory coupling" but I'm really not sure.

traction coupling

What a poorly chosen German term on the part of the manufacturer or the writer of the original German text! As of this date, "Bahnkoppelung" only appears once on the entire Internet!

Jedoch habe ich so etwas in einem Englischen<->Deutschen Wörterbuch für Techniker gefunden.

Wenn's hilft!

Bahnenergieversorgung -> traction power supply

Bahnstromumrichter -> traction power converter

Bahnstromversorgung -> traction power supply

Und danach:

"A propshaft from the front transfer coupling goes into a <<<<< traction coupling >>>>> with an oil pump and multiplate clutch, and a rear <<<<< axle >>>>>"

"An electric motor with permanent-magnet rotor according to claim 1, wherein a bladed impeller is coupled, by means of a toothed <<<<< traction coupling >>>>>"

Leider kann ich dir nicht mehr anbieten.

2 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks to both of you for the suggestions. I later found that the spelling can also be "Bahnkopplung" and this has a few hits on Google. In particular "spin-Bahnkopplung" matches up with "spin-trajectory coupling", so I stayed with "trajectory coupling" in the end"

web coupler {coupling system}

A web is a large roll of paper, as for continuous feeding of a web press.

So this would also go with your Weg... question as it is the paper of the web that is moving.

Probably a command to feed in the next roll of paper to keep the process running continuously.
