German term

Keimschranke

German to English Medical Medical (general) prosthetics
This is from a patent for a mounting for a prosthesis onto a femoral stump. The present patent refers to a problem in one of the previous patents:

...so that an accidental removal of the ??? is avoided, as can occur when using the mounting according the DE patent#, for example, when cleaning the passagepoint of the implant through the femoral stump, for example, by an unintentional piercing of the flexible material with a hypodermic needle.

I don't have the patent to which this refers,
it gets one google hit, doesn't appear in the online medical dictionaries, and I'm at a loss.
