Looks like a pure and silly guessing to me, without any additional context. In my place, the word is a brand of beer, so what? Ramona, please tell us where you have seen the word, in which context, etc., otherwise it's just a waste of time.

People names usually have meaning. Like 'Ali' means 'high or noble' in Arabic. In google, I found a Jew, an Indian, and an Indonesian named "rohan". So, this word may come from languages used by these people (Hebrew/Arabic, Urdu/Farsi, Malay/Indonesian

Rohan (रोहण) is a Hindi/Sanskrit word with the above meanings.

It is also a popular male name in India.

In Hindi, rohan is also the name of a tree. Unfortunately I am not able to find the scientific name of the tree. I will post it here if I can find it.

I found this scientific name for the rohan tree in one reference:

Mallotus philippinensis

In one web reference, this tree has the English name of Monkey Face Tree.

Sarah Downing (http://www.proz.com/pro/21351) has sent me another reference for this tree:

Main Entry:rohun
Variant: also rohan
Function:noun
Inflected Form:-s
Etymology:Hindi roha*, from Sanskrit roha*a

: an East Indian tree (Soymida febrifuga) of the family
Meliaceae having hard durable wood and tonic bark
Peer comment(s):

agree Sarah Downing : I can't really talk for the Hindi bit, seeing as I don't speak Hindi, but I guess I should agree with the tree bit;-)

on the other hand here http://www.baby-boy-names.org/r/rohan.htm they claim it means 'ascending'

Peer comment(s):

neutral Balasubramaniam L. : Regarding the first meaning, your reference has confused it with another similar Hindi word rogan (रोगन). The second meaning is nearer teh mark, though.
