German to English Bus/Financial Accounting balance sheet item
Appears under "Sonstige Vermögensgegenstände" in balance sheet, after item in previous query!

All suggestions welcome.

Discussion

Ian M-H (X) Jun 5, 2006:
@David: SolZ certainly is (or was) used, for example by the Finanzämter in Bochum (see line 12, box 50): http://www.bochum.de/formulare/est2003nrw.pdf
David Moore (X) Jun 5, 2006:
@IanHarknett. are you SURE of your ground? I think the conventional short form of "Solidaritätszuschlag" is "Sol*i*-Z", not "Solz??
Karen Goulding (asker) Jun 5, 2006:
No, it's not a mistake. My two queries relate to two different items in the balance sheet.

Interest discount tax amounts recoverable from social security organisations

Ford. Solz. is the abbreviated form for "Forderungen an Sozialversicherungsträger",and Zinsabschl. Steuer stands for "Zinsabschlagsteuer", i.e. interest discount tax amounts recoverable from social security organisations.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Ian M-H (X) : SolZ is Solidaritätszuschlag and nothing to do with Sozialversicherungsträger - from whom income tax deducted from interest is not recoverable in any case
