Sorry, my accent marks don't work...
This is in a document discussing the control procedures that must be followed in killing livestock. Full sentence is:
I can see what "residus medicamenteux" are but don't know the correct English term.
Perhaps "traces of medication"?
Merci a l'avance et joyeuses fetes !

medication residues
Although I think your 'traces of medication' is fine too, as would be 'traces of medication residue', 'residual traces of medication', etc. They all get a few google hits, although 'medication residues' seems to get more.

The current meteoric rise of organic farming can be attributed to a combination of factors:
# Successive food scares: BSE, E. coli 0157, Salmonella
# Concern about genetically modified (GM) products
# Concerns about livestock welfare in intensive systems
# Belief that organic products are more nutritious
# Fear of pesticide residues in non-organic produce
# Fear of artificial fertiliser residues in non-organic produce
# Fear of medication residues in non-organic produce
# Fear of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in non-organic produce
# high value niche markets sought by small scale farmers

French term (edited):
rsidus mdicamenteux
residues of medicinal products
EU docs tend to translate "médicaments" as medicinal products. If you search for "résidus médicamenteux" + site:eu.int you actually only get about six hits (change fr to en in document name and it is usually translated as "residues of medicinal products"). However, search for this English phrase + site:eu.int and you get 30+ hits on EU sites, sometimes translated as "résidus des médicaments (vétérinaires)".
The only one of Charlotte's options that gets any hits on EU sites is medicinal residues (3), but not all refer to veterinary applications. "Traces of medication" also gets 1 semi-relevant (fish) hit.
