appendage
an 'exhibit' is a 'Beweisstück'. I believe in this case, it's more of an enclosure or attachment, which in formal correspondence is generally refered to as 'appendage'.

: The terms "appendage" and "attachment" while used in general business correspondence, are not used in legal briefs the way the term "exhibit" or "appendix" is used. If there is only one support document, "appendix" is better, if several then "exhibit."
