Bench - One of to or more divisions of a coal seam separated by slate or formed by the process of cutting the coal.

Floor The bottom of a mining level in underground mines.

Drilling is done with heavy duty rotary drill rigs to a preset pattern. The blasting parameters are designed to suit the rock conditions and gradation requirements. The bench height adopted is 20 meters and face length is up to 100 meters.
