I refer to my answer at http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1183412 - I think this person read the work in question in the original, i.e. German, hence it probably would make sense to retain the original title. There is no translation into English as far as I can see from the British Library records (and they are pretty good). What is best to do depends on the audience - if it's academic, I don't see any problems using German, French, Latin etc. titles in it. If the target audience is lay, then it may be advisable to put an English translation in parentheses, and there are many good suggestions by others for that.
