German term
Teildisziplin
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Management
This term appears in an article that discusses various approaches to vehicle dynamics.
I think what is really being referred to here is "departments", I also considered "departmental approaches". Does anybody have any other ideas?
Many thanks for your help in advance

don't see why not take the straightforward path ...

You can still translate "Teilbereich" as subdivisions/departments/whatever, which obviously deal with different subdisciplines of vehicle dynamics

: Harry Borsje's comment is correct here, and "subdiscipline" is better than a term which may imply formal organization structures that do not exist in fact
