As I read this passage the point is that the drive has run through its cycle and adjusted itself to provide slightly more than the actually required power as a safety margin. To be honest I think, from the context provided, that the German is wrong - Engineers are renowned for bad writing and I think in this case that "Beeinflüssung" is the wrong term. There may be more context available that would make "Beeinflüssung" right, but we cant see that from the text provided.
