here comes the next menu item on my receipt. I'm not sure what Hochm. stands for either. Maybe some sort of dessert?

rowan
Half an answer, I'm afraid! On the basis that Vogelbeer seems to be sorbus aucuparia, the rowan, I'm guessing this might be rowan something - but no idea what! Hochm. doesn't ring any bells. I've heard of rowan jelly, but other than that....

: Pons/Collins opts for rowan(berry), so that seems to be okay, although I have to confess, I do not know that fruit myself.

Thanks Brigitte - I think they are only used for jelly (like crab apples) in the UK, but I know the birds usually strip garden specimens - hence Vogelbeer presumably!

Rowanberry
Rowanberry, is used in jellies like cranberry with venison.
Sorbus aucuparia, also called mountain-ash.
No idea what the "Hochm." is supposed to mean, sorry. Maybe some Austrians might know...

Wenn es sich um handschriftliche Quittungen handelt, koennte es vielleicht 'Koch' und nicht 'Hochm.' heißen?
