Description | NATI, the Nebraska Association for Translators and Interpreters, was formed in 1998 in response to the growing demand for professional language services in Nebraska. Our steering committee is made up of concerned citizens, practicing translators and public welfare agency representatives who utilize language service providers. NATI has a three-fold purpose. 1. We serve as a resource and a forum of interaction for language service providers and users. 2. We uphold and promote the professional code of ethics established by comparable professional organizations for translators and interpreters and subscribed to by the State Supreme Court of Nebraska. 3. We also have set ourselves the goal of establishing a forum for continuing professional development, broadening public linguistic education and access, and advancing career development opportunities for students and practitioners. |
