Bio
I am a translator mostly focused on entertainment content. Currently, I am working on the JP-EN translation of a manga series for a major Japanese publisher.
I graduated from Stockholm University with a double BA in Political Science and Korean in 2014. I have also studied abroad at Yonsei University Korean Language Institute, Seoul, and at a private Japanese language school in Tokyo. I also studied Japanese and Japanese translation at Dalarna University. As of now, although I majored in Korean, I am even more confident in my Japanese proficiency.
Being something of a bookworm, I have a broad interest in all sorts of fields, including history, philosophy, mythology, Korean and Japanese culture, music, literature, anime, manga, photography, religion, video games, animals and geography. My university education also included more than just my major subjects. See the list at the bottom for a full list of the other subjects in which I have completed at least five full-time weeks worth of course work.
I started studying both Japanese and Korean out of pure passion without any real plans to utilize my skills professionally. However now, several years after graduation, I have increasingly felt that it would be fun and rewarding to do just that.
My work experience in translation related fields is so far very limited, but I would be happy to translate a sample for you to see if my ability meets your requirements.
