I had an email from "Emma Smith" today too. What I don't understand is how the scam actually works. She's offering USD 100, and asking me to translate 11,000 words in 4 days. Who would even accept that rate and deadline?!
Hasn't asked for my CV, NDA, or any personal data.
I'm confused!

Maybe I should have said intrigued?
I've been corresponding with 'her' and I just can't see what she's gaining - unless it's a free translation (unlikely).
She's given me a fake company address and no other details; but still hasn't asked for any of MY details.
Maybe it's the old bank transfer / cheque clearing / overpayment scam?

I received a message from Emma as well.
I am tempted to run the document through google translate and send her that to see what happens next.

Is it a manual for an OREC mower?
I'm still corresponding with her, she's saying she can't send any company details as the website is under construction. And the company address she's give me, in Canada, doesn't exist. When I asked for a PO, she's just replied "PO number 112".
So so shady but I'm still wanting to know what the scam is!!

I received a mail on Sept 9th from XXXXX of the same company using a gmail domain and all looked OK. Work done (legal domain, 37k words) and submitted within the specified deadline. Company was outsourcing and PM gets to me via WhatsApp saying he is getting to the client but no response and permits me to contact the client directly by mail and even offers their phone number. This time he provides the actual quote for the task (and I was to receive about 65% as payment). The client receives my ma...
