Unfortunately. I have so much going on during the week that I end up working on weekends. Since I live alone with my dog, it's the one time when I don't get interruptions.

Sometimes I take weekends off, sometimes I don’t, it all depends on the amount of work I have and on the deadline. If I have no work at all and the weather is not good, I might complete some procrastinated domestic chores (ironing, for instance), but right now, and until the middle of May, I’m on a period with no weekends off in sight and long hours every day as I’m editing a very long e-course and at the same time trying to keep all my other regular clients happy…

Sometimes I work on Saturday and Sunday, sometimes only in the morning, Sometimes I do not work at all, sometimes I work from 6 am to 1 pm.. It just goes with the workflow.

Sometimes I get a small translation or proofreading job on Friday that is due on Monday. I send out invoices. Weather permitting I shop for groceries. These things usually fill my Saturday. On Sunday I relax and read and the highlight of my weekend is talking to my children by phone or via Skype.

Over the winter when it is gloomy outside I often take on some additional work over the weekend to earn a little extra. In contrast during the summer months I like to take advantage of the better weather and travel as much as possible. As I am disabled, I am in the fortunate position of qualifying for a travel pass that lets me travel anywhere within my own country for free, although today I ventured a little further afield by travelling "abroad" within the UK and had to pay for it.
