Translator from German & English into French.

I have a very wide general knowledge which stems from varied work experience before starting my career in translation: this includes working in the commercial departments of well-known companies and banks (10 years as a commercial secretary and 8 years as a P.A. in France followed by two years in England), French language teaching, market research. I also have a sound background in IT with basic practical knowledge of programming and a keen interest in artificial intelligence (research paper on computational linguistics).

To summarise my last experience in GB. I got the opportunity to go to England and studied English & Counselling at Hastings College of Arts and Technology (East Sussex); to gain experience I worked at Kelly Services in Tunbridge Wells (Kent) which I enjoyed very much. After that, I came directly to Austria where I studied translation for five years and registered a company as a freelance translation service.

In Austria, I work as a freelance translator, translating a wide variety of documents from technical manuals, directions of use for the industry through financial documents and annual reports to promotional material for multinational companies.
