Since I left my native country Denmark more than twenty years ago, I have engaged in a wide range of activities in Cambodia: designing landmine clearance equipment, humanitarian projects, video documentaries, tourism, architecture, and writing. Originally graduated as an Architect and Industrial Designer, I still practice my profession whenever the opportunity arises, but these days I feel increasingly attracted to the world of words. I am currently working on my memoir Third World Man: Out of Denmark and therefore looking to hone my skills as a writer in every conceivable way. Being a dedicated family man and father of three, I would love to express my views and experiences on fatherhood to a broader audience, but I am equally passionate about all topics related to the third world and indeed everything that has a human dimension to it. Simplicity is what I always strive for, inspired by another Danish designer and philosopher, Piet Hein: “There is one art – no more, no less – to do all things with artlessness”. And wherever possible I like to apply a sense of humor to my work, so if you are looking to attract attention to your business with a smile, I am probably your man! I am also keenly interested in translating from English to Danish and vice versa. Over the last more than ten years, I have translated, reviewed and subtitled from English to Danish on a daily basis for clients worldwide in all categories of subjects. Having recently moved to the Greek island of Crete, I am now looking to expand my network of European based clients.
