I am a full-time independent translator (English < > Russian and English < > Hebrew) with main focus on corporate law, patents, intellectual property, banking, finance, insurance,oil and gas, governance, and environment.

From 1993 through 1999 I worked as a senior translator at the World Bank in Washington, where I was directly responsible for the translation and revision of many operational and highly visible documents, including every World Development Report and Annual Report for the Russian edition during that period.

After leaving the Bank I concentrated on banking and finance, translating numerous prospectuses and manuals for major trading houses. Additionally, I provide translation service to international organizations and U.S. Government agencies, most notably to the IMF (translated over 400,000 words in 2015) and the U.S. Department of State. Other major clients include EBRD, OECD, USAID, and WTO, as well as a number of law firms specializing in corporate governance, patents, and bankruptcy.

I am certified by the American Translators Association for English-Russian and Russian-English language pairs (ATA does not administer Hebrew certification at this time) and am an approved contract translator/reviewer for the U.S. Department of State for the same pairs, as well as for Hebrew into/from English. In fact, I am one of the top Russian and Hebrew translators for the State Department.

Most recently my work has been predominantly in the legal field, where I have done numerous translations in support of litigation concerning patents and contracts. My clients included Kenyon and Kenyon; Akin Gump, Proskauer Rose; Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner; Fulbright & Jaworski; Debevoise & Plimpton; Sullivan & Cromwell; Covington & Burling; Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy; White & Case; Kirkland & Ellis.

In my work I use extensively all versions of Trados tools.
