Source text - English The first all-new 2D Mario platformer since Super Mario World has arrived! Boasting incredible 3D graphics to accompany classic 2D gameplay, this fast-paced adventure will have Mario fans cheering as they make their way over fields, under water, through castles, and into the air.
The power of the DS is used to great effect, and the result is that the Mushroom Kingdom looks more alive than ever. Backgrounds are beautifully layered and every character on screen is presented in gorgeous 3D, with Piranha Plants baring their teeth with wild abandon and Goombas looking almost too cute to stomp on.
Just below the surface you will find hundreds of hard-as-nails mini-missions that will force you to reconsider your supposed Super Mario supremacy. The real challenge of the game is tracking down its 240 Star Coins, which allow you to open up paths on the eight world maps. Each level hides three of those shiny collectibles: sometimes they’re in plain sight but require a special skill in order to be reached. Other times they’re cleverly hidden, and sometimes you will need one of the game’s special new power-ups to find them.
Nostalgic and new in equal doses, New Super Mario Bros. is, quite simply, a gem of a game.
* Gorgeous 3D graphics show off the power of DS as you run, jump and stomp your way through the Mushroom Kingdom.
* Play through hundreds of mini-missions as you try to track down precious Star Coins.

Translation - English When we speak about Napolitan Songs, we refer to a popular music genre from Naples. We find its origins on the 13th century, a time when it was a natural means of expression for Napolitan people. Its development has been greater between the 16th and the 18th centuries. By that time, these songs were optimistic, amusing, and had to do with life, daily work and popular feelings.
The strength conveyed by the Napolitan Song is quite evident during the 19th century, when "Palumella zompa e vola" is looked upon by those in power as being revolutionary, for exalting the principles of freedom. Despite its lyrics have been altered, people preferred to carry on singing it without any words, a bocca chiusa.
During the second half of the 19th century and first quarter of the 20th, the Napolitan Song theme has been clearly enlarged. Besides the picaresque aspects that popularized it centuries ago, drama and pessimism are now often used, probably due to the theme of the opera, which was in the ascendant by then. The composition of the Napolitan Song enters on erudite environments and many are the esteemed poets and composers who wish to see their names written on the scores: G. D’Annunzio in "A Vucchella" and G. Donizetti in "Te voglio bene assaie" are only two examples. The song debuted in palaces and, afterwards, came down to the streets where the people took hold of it.
In the middle of the 20th century, this song genre survives thank to Naples Festival, but, in the second half of the sixties, its decay is undeniable. The melodic beauty allied to passion, to the glorification of love for one’s homeland, to the Sun, to the sea and to home return are responsible, even today, for the resolution that every renowned singer displays when recording his voice in albums which comprise the most celebrated themes of the Napolitan Song. It is enough to mention, among others, the great E. Caruso (he himself being Napolitan), T. Schipa and G. Di Stefano, besides the recently appeared L. Pavarotti, J. Carreras and P. Domingo.

English to Portuguese: A Soul for Europe / Uma Alma para a Europa General field: Other Detailed field: International Org/Dev/Coop
Source text - English Since its large opening conference in 2004, under the joint patronage of EU Commission President Manuel Barroso and then Federal Chancellor Schröder, “A Soul for Europe” has pursued two major goals:
1. Using the considerable potential of European culture to promote the process of European unification.
2. Mobilizing Europeans to play an active role in this process.
The European unification process is the concern of the Europeans themselves, not just a matter for institutions and organizations. The Guimaraes Forum is a perfect illustration of this mission of “A Soul for Europe”.
Firstly, it highlights the responsibility of local players for the development of European culture. Secondly, it demonstrates, for Portugal and Guimaraes, how a European region – and in particular a European Capital of Culture – can raise its profile quite tangibly as an indispensable force in the development of a cultural Europe.
The fact that the responsibility for organizing this conference and achieving this objective lies with the Portuguese office of “A Soul for Europe” in Porto and its head, Susana Marques, demonstrates the importance of Portugal’s contribution to Europe and underlines the legitimacy and excellence of Guimaraes as a European Capital of Culture.
