خدمات مركزطالبي اللجوء
بعد اجتماعك الأول مع أحد الأخصائيين الاجتماعيين، يرحب المركز بحضورك خلال ساعات العمل من الاثنين إلى الخميس ابتداءً من 9 صباحاً وحتى 5 مساءً.
يدعوك المركز للانتظام في فصول تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية وحضور الأنشطة الأخرى كممارسة اليوجا أو العلاج بممارسة الفن .
كما يدعوك المركز إلى مأدبة غداء صحية يقدمها فريق من المتطوعين، أو تناول كوب من الشاي أو القهوة.
يمكنك استخدام أجهزة الكمبيوتر في المركز، والتي تتصل جميعها بشبكة الإنترنت.
ينظم المركز الرحلات والنزهات المجانية على مدار العام ويرحب بمشاركتكم فيها.
إذا رغبت في التحدث إلى الموظف الذي يدرس حالتك بشأن أمر ما، ينبغي أولا تحديد موعد لذلك.
يتلقى مركز طالبي اللجوء أحياناً تبرعات على شكل إيصالات طعام وبطاقات سفر وبطاقات هاتفية يوزعها المركز على أكثر فرد من طالبي اللجوء احتياجا. ويأسف المركز أن يعلن عدم قدرته على تقديم أي مساعدة مالية مباشرة.

مركز طالبي اللجوء (ASC) هو منظمة مستقلة غير حكومية ولا تهدف للربح وتعمل على توفير البيئة المرحبة والدعم العملي على أساس المجتمع المدني لطالبي اللجوء المقيمين في نيو ساوث ويلز.
وجميع خدمات المركز مجانية وسرية.

الاتصال بالمركز لأول مرة
إذا لم يسبق لك زيارة مركز طالبي اللجوء، فيجدر بك تحديد موعد للقاء أحد الموظفين المختصين بدراسة الحالات. ويمكنك تحديد موعد بالاتصال هاتفياً على 9361 5606 في أي يوم من الاثنين إلى الخميس ابتداءً من 9 صباحاً وحتى 5 مساءً.
إذا كنت بحاجة إلى مترجم، فيمكنك إما:
• الاتصال بخدمة الترجمة الهاتفية على الرقم 131 450 ثم طلب الاتصال بالمركز (خدمة الترجمة مجانية)؛ أو
• الاتصال بالمركز والإدلاء ببعض البيانات المتمثلة في الاسم ورقم الهاتف واللغة التي تتحدثها، وسيتصل المركز بك لاحقاً مع الاستعانة بمترجم.
عادة ما يوجد موظف مختص الحالات للرد على اتصالك، وفي حالة عدم وجوده سيعاود الاتصال بك في غضون يومين من أيام العمل.
ونظراً لوجود الكثير من الأشخاص الذي يمرون بمواقف في غاية الصعوبة، فإن المركز يحتاج دوماً إلى ترتيب أولويات المواعيد، علماً بأن المركز يلتقي عادةً بالشخص في غضون 3 أسابيع من اتصاله، إلا أن المركز يلتقي المتصل قبل ذلك بكثير في أغلب الأحيان.
تُعطى الأولوية في تحديد المواعيد للحالات التالية:
• الأشخاص بدون مأوى (منزل)؛
• الأشخاص الذين ليس لديهم تأشيرة اقامة أو أوشكت صلاحية تأشيراتهم على الانتهاء؛ أو
• الأشخاص من ذوي الاحتياجات الصحية الملحة جسمانياً أو عقلياً.
إذا كانت إحدى الحالات السابق ذكرها تنطبق عليك، فيرجى إعلام موظف الحالة عند تحديد موعد اللقاء به.
موضوعات الموعد الأول
سيتحدث معك الأخصائي الاجتماعي في اللقاء الأول بينكما عن:
• وضعك القانوني وما يتعلق بتأشيرة الدخول (بما في ذلك حقوق العمل والدراسة)؛
• إقامتك ووضعك المالي؛
• أية مشكلات صحية تعاني منها واحتياجات الدعم النفسي؛ و
• أشكال الدعم الأخرى التي تتلقاها - كالحصول على مساعدة الصليب الحمر الأسترالي من خلال برنامج مساعدة ملتمسي اللجوء (ASAS).
قد يكون بإمكان الأخصائي الاجتماعي إحالتك جهات معينة للحصول على:
• مشورة قانونية؛
• دعم استشاري؛
• رعاية صحية؛
• مساعدة مالية عاجلة؛
• إيواء عاجل؛
• التسجيل في مدرسة/تعليم تقني
• مساعدة في البحث عن عمل؛
• أنشطة يقدمها المركز.
الرعاية الصحية بالمركز
يستفيد طالب اللجوء من برنامج الرعاية الصحية الذي يقدمه المركز إذا لم يكن حاملاً لبطاقة برنامج (Medicare) أو متلقياً لخدمات برنامج (ASAS) فيما يتعلق بالمشكلات الصحية الخطيرة.
يعتمد برنامج الرعاية الصحية بالمركز على الممارسين المتطوعين.
يمكن أن يقدم منسق برنامج الرعاية الصحية المساعدة في:
• إحالة الحالات إلى الأطباء وأطباء العلاج الطبيعي وأطباء الأسنان والعيون؛
• شراء الأدوية اللازمة لعلاج الحالات المرضية الحرجة؛ و
• الحصول على إعفاء من تكاليف المستشفى وغيرها من إجراءات الطوارئ.

Translation - English Asylum Seekers Centre Services
After your first meeting with one of the social workers, you will be welcome at the Centre during the working hours - Monday to Thursday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
The Centre invites you to attend the English language classes regularly and other activities such as practicing Yoga or treatment through practising art.
The Centre also invites you to a healthy lunch offered by a group of volunteers, or to have a cup of tea or coffee.
At the Centre, you can use computers which are connected to the internet.
The Centre arranges free trips and excursions during the year and you are welcome to participate in them.
If you want to talk to your case officer (the officer who is studying your case) concerning anything, you should make an appointment first.
Sometimes, Asylum Seekers Centre receives donations as food vouchers, travel cards and phone cards distributed by the Centre to the most needy person among the asylum seekers. The Centre is sorry to declare its inability to offer any direct financial aids.
First Contact with the Centre
If you have not visited the Asylum Seekers Centre before, you have to make an appointment to meet one of the case officers.
You can make an appointment by calling 93615606 any day from Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm.
If you need an interpreter, you can either:
• call the phone interpreting service on 131450, then ask to call the Centre (the interpreting service is free); or
• call the Centre and say some data which is representing in the name, phone number and your speaking language.
The Centre will call you later assisted by an interpreter.
There is usually a case officer to answer your call. In case he is not available, he will call you within two working days.
As there are many persons in very difficult situations, the Centre always needs to arrange the appointments by priority, noting that the Centre usually meets the person within 3 weeks from his/her call, but it often meets him/her a long time earlier.
The appointment priority is given to the following cases:
• homeless people;
• people without residency visa or whom their visas are going to expire; or
• people with urgent health needs, physically or mentally.
If one of the aforementioned cases applies to you, please inform the case officer upon making the appointment with him.
How to reach the Centre
By train
Take the exit leading to Devonshire St. from Central Railway Station. Go directly to the end of Devonshire St. When you reach Bourke St., turn left and then take the first right curve (turning) to Nobbs St., so you find the Centre in building no. 38.
By Bus
Buses no. 301, 302, 339, 343 or 399 go through the City via Surry Hills suburb.

First Appointment Items
The social worker will talk to you in your first appointment about:
• your legal status and what is related to your entry visa (including work and study rights);
• your residence and financial status;
• any health problems that you suffer from and psychological support needs;
• other types of support that you receive – such as receiving the Australian Red Cross assistance through Asylum Seekers Assistance System (ASAS).
The social worker can refer you to specific bodies to obtain:
• legal consultation;
• advisory support;
• health care;
• instant financial aid;
• immediate housing;
• registration at school/technical education;
• assistance in searching for work;
• activities offered by the Centre.
Asylum Seekers Centre in New South Wales
Asylum Seekers Centre is a non-governmental independent organization that does not aim to profit, and tries to provide the welcoming environment and active support on the basis of the civil community for asylum seekers living in New South Wales.
All Centre services are free and confidential.
The Centre does not receive now any financing from the Federal government or local government, but it depends totally on the donations and presents offered by the Centre supporters.
The asylum seeker benefits from the health care system offered by the Centre if he/she is not holder of Medicare card or does not receive the services of Asylum Seekers Assistance System (ASAS) concerning the critical health problems.
The Centre health care system depends on the volunteer practitioners.
The health care system coordinator may offer help in:
• transferring the cases to physicians, physiotherapists, dentists and ophthalmologists;
• buying the medications necessary for the treatment of critical cases;
And
• obtaining exemption from hospital costs and other emergency procedures.
All the data that you give to your case officer, the health care system coordinator or any other member at the Centre is subject to full privacy. This means that the Centre will not reveal your data to any other organization or person without your prior permission (unless the Centre makes sure that an ambient danger could harm you or anyone else if it does not expose such data). The officer will be pleased to discuss this matter more broadly.
