So, in this course I will teach you the basics on game localization and how to go out and find the clients you want in this particular and funny niche, where you will translate the sorts of FIFA, Mario, PES, Desolate, with a translator with 10 years of experience in the area. Whether you are new to the translation industry or a fully-fledged translator, you will find this course useful and, who knows, maybe this will take your translation career to the next level?


Within 60 minutes we will discuss the following topics:

  • Basics of localization: in this part you will understand in depth the differences between translation and localization, and how this can be a game-changer in your career. You will understand concepts such as internationalization, globalization, and localization, and will understand the processes involved in localization.
  • Transcreation: in this part you will understand what transcreation is and the difference it has with translation, as well as how to apply it in your localization strategy, either as a freelance translator or as an agency.
  • Localization in games: in this part you will understand how localization and transcreation come together in the games localization and the challenges involved in the process.
  • Bug filing: the last part of this presentation will be bug filing and the processes and a brief explanation on the tools you need to implement it.
