Source text - English The purpose of the test is to determine the concentration of non adsorbed purified tetanus toxoid on the hydroxide aluminum gel in the Hexaxim combination vaccine containing both Polyribosyl Ribitol Phosphate conjugated to tetanus protein (PRP) and purified tetanus toxoid. This method is based on the migration under an electric field of the supernatant of the vaccine in a 1% agarose gel containing two distinct areas:
• In order to avoid PRP T interference, the first part contains Haemophilus influenzae type b specific antibodies able to capture total PRP antigens (gel 1);
• The second part contains tetanus specific antibodies, which react with the free tetanus toxoid (gel 2), present in the sample vaccine.
Rocket shaped precipitin lines are formed at equivalence. The heights of the Rocket shaped curves in the second part of the gel are proportional to the amount of tetanus toxoid present in the sample.

Source text - English Some cellular studies and studies on animals have shown the benefit of PPC or PolyenylPhosphatidylCholine (mixture of polyunsaturated phosphatidyl cholines extracted from soya) in the prevention and treatment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic liver damages. In particular, it has been shown that PPC in rats minimises liver fibrosis caused by hepatotoxic agents such as the CCl4 (MA et al., 1996). The benefit of PPC on the decrease of liver fat infiltration and hyperlipidemia linked to alcohol consumption has also been proven in rats (NAVDER et al., 1997). The results of another study carried out on rats have shown that alcohol absorption multiplied hepatocyte apoptosis by five (self-destruction) in comparison with control rats. The supplementation in PPC practically divided apoptosis caused by alcohol by two. The protective effect of PPC on hepatic lesions could therefore be explained by this apoptosis decrease mechanism but it is also possible that this phenomenon is associated to an antioxidant action (MI et al., 2000). The supplementation in PPC would correct the depletion of phospholipids caused by the consumption of alcohol at the same time as it would stop oxidative stress.

В частности, было доказано, что PPC минимизирует у крыс печеночный фиброз, обусловленный гепатотоксичными веществами, такими как CCl4 (MA et al., 1996). Преимущество PPC при снижении инфильтрации печени и гиперлипидемии, связанных с употреблением алкоголя, было также подтверждено на крысах (NAVDER et al., 1997). Результаты другого исследования, проведенного на крысах, показали, что абсорбция алкоголя увеличила апоптоз гепатоцитов в пять раз (саморазрушение) по сравнению с контрольными крысами.
