منطقة مكة المكرمة منطقة مكة المكرمة هي أكبر مناطق المملكة الثلاث عشرة سكانًا ، تقع على ساحل البحر الأحمر غرب المملكة ، يحدها شمالا منطقة المدينة المنورة وجنوبا منطقة الباحة وعسير وشرقا منطقة الرياض وغربًا ساحل البحر الأحمر . وترجع أهمية المنطقة لوجود بيت الله الحرام والذي يفد إليه سنويا اكثر من ثلاثة ملايين زائر بين حاج و معتمر . وتحتل منطقة مكة المكرمة مساحة ١٥٣ ألف كم ٢ تمثل ٧ % من مساحة المملكة . كما يسكن حوالي ٥,٥ مليون نسمة تمثل حوالي ٢٦,٤ % من سكان المملكة. Makkah Region It is the most populated administrative region in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and located in the western cost of the country. It is bordered by Madinah Region on the north and by Baha and Asir Regions on the south and by the Red Sea on the west. The region derives its importance from the Holy Masjid (Grand Holy Mosque) in Makkah city which usually visited by more than three million Muslims every year. Makkah Region occupies an area of 153000 km2 which represents 7% of the country's total area and populated by 5500000 people (26.4% of whole population).
