My name is Lotta Viklund, I am a Swedish native and a freelancing translator currently living in Canada.

My area of expertise is multifaceted. I have been a freelancing translator since 2002, translating legal and business documents as well as prose . I have also translated numerous technical and medical documents and manuals, and although this falls outside of my formal education, translations dealing with clinical trials have become a specialty of mine.

I translate from English to Swedish and vice versa. I master both British and American language standards.

I also translate from Norwegian and Danish to English and Swedish.

I spent 8 years at Uppsala university, Sweden, studying mostly English and Scandinavian languages and literature, but I also devoted considerable time to law and business studies.

I have two master degrees from Uppsala university: a Master of Arts (Major:English, Minors:Scandinavian languages/Law), and a Master of Education with Swedish and English as my most prominent fields of study.

For a number of years, I have also lived and worked in the UK, in the US and Canada which has rendered my English highly up-to-date.

I have been a freelancing translator since 2002. I am highly reliable and I do my work fast and efficiently.

A great part of my experience comes from working for Uppsala university, translating university websites into English, information brochures, etc. Other major clients of mine have been Uppsala International Film Festival and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce.
