Bio
I am a professional and full-time translator, specialising in German to English translation of legal, regulatory and marketing texts. I have extensive experience translating EC/EU directives, national laws of German-speaking countries, as well as marketing texts for companies ranging from providers of green energy technology to computers, construction materials and other areas. My legal experience includes patent litigation, real estate legal documents, executive contracts of employment and other common legal documents (please see my CV for a partial list of recent large projects).

While I currently live in Toronto, Canada, one of the world's most international cities, I have both lived and attended university (Humboldt Universität zu Berlin) in Germany. On average, I spend at least one month of every year in Germany and German-speaking areas in order to meet with clients, personal friends and immerse myself in my working language. I follow current European political and economic affairs, and read widely in both languages, which ensures that the terminology I use is up-to-date, accurate and familiar to professionals in the given field. This is extremely important for translations in any area, since describing something is hardly the same as finding the most correct and accepted equivalent term!

I hold the industry-standard credential "Certified Translator" granted by the American Translators Association for the pair German into English.

I hold a Master's degree in Art Theory and History from the University of Toronto, Canada. I am flexible, resourceful and committed to delivering professional quality work on time. Please feel free to contact any of my references (in CV) to discuss my performance.
I look forward to all projects.
