Bio

My first memory of me writing was me writing on the wall. I started with 7-legged E’s and S’s that looked like reversed Z’s, when I didn’t even know how to read. Then there were diaries (piles of them), then crazy attempts to translate my favorite books (Salinger gave me such a headache…), then leaving Engineering for Journalism, then working professionally on the daily press, where I wrote about everything, from hard news to finance to culture (God forgive me, even gastronomy!). Nowadays, I dedicate myself to translating and improving translations into Brazilian Portuguese. Looks like this is not writing, but yes, it is. Because if there’s one thing I have learned in this business, is that no translation can be a good translation if the translator can’t write well in the target language.
