Source text - English Citizens now enjoy direct access to clear information on the use of EU funds.
The EU launched an easy-to-use information service during 2008 to allow the public to see clearly how EU funds are spent. This web-based database gives direct access for the first time ever to information about the organisations that benefit from EU money.
The system covers all the funds managed directly by the Commission. Based on data from the EU accounts, it provides an overview of the previous financial year. More than 28 000 entries give details on Commission-run programmes in areas such as research, education and culture, energy and transport, as well as on aid provided to non-EU countries. It allows users to analyse and compare information on who gets what.
The service is part of the European Commission’s campaign to ensure transparency and accountability. In parallel, the governments of all the EU countries have agreed to publish information on their websites on payments they have made under the policies they run on behalf of the EU, such as agricultural policy and regional and social development, which make up more than 80 % of the EU budget.

Source text - Latvian 8.2. Līgumslēdzēju puses nenes atbildību par pilnīgu vai daļēju līguma neizpildi, ja tā ir radusies nepārvaramu, no pusēm neatkarīgu, apstākļu dēļ, kurus puses nevarēja paredzēt un novērst. Šajos gadījumos līguma izpildes laiks pagarinās par šo apstākļu pastāvēšanas laiku, bet ne ilgāk par 6 mēnešiem.
8.3. Strīdus, kuri rodas sakarā ar šo līgumu, izšķir puses, savstarpēji vienojoties. Gadījumos, kad vienošanās nav iespējama, strīdu izšķir LR normatīvos aktos paredzētā kārtībā.
9. Atbildības ierobežojums
9.1. Neviena no Pusēm nav atbildīga otrai Pusei par jebkādiem netiešiem zaudējumiem, piemēram, bet ne tikai, atrautā peļņa, ražošanas zaudējumi, ietaupījumu zaudējumi, kapitāla izmaksas vai izmaksas, kas saistītas ar darba pārtraukšanu.
Translation - English 8.2 The Parties shall not be liable for full or partial breaches of this Agreement if such have occurred due to force majeure circumstances beyond the control of any Party, which the Parties could not have foreseen and prevented. In such cases the period of execution of the Agreement shall be extended to the duration of these circumstances but no longer than for 6 months.
8.3 Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved by the Parties through negotiations. In case a dispute between the Parties cannot be resolved by negotiations, the dispute shall be resolved in accordance with the procedures provided for in the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
9 Limitation of liability
9.1 None of the Parties shall be liable towards the other Party for any indirect losses, e.g., but not limited to, the unearned income, production losses, losses of savings, capital costs or costs related to the termination of works.
