Bio
I have always been interested in foreign languages. My translation experience started during school years, when I translated user manuals from English to Ukrainian for a local shop of consumer electronics.
From 2000 to 2005 I studied English, German, French, translation in general, and world literature at the National University "Ostroh Academy" (Ukraine).
I was also interested in Italian and started learning it on my own.
In 2005 I spent several months in Aschaffenburg (Germany) as Au pair, and than around a year in Italy , which was the best way to learn the "real" language.
In 2006 I worked in Ukraine at foreign cooperation department of regional administration, where, as can be understood from its name, I had to deal a lot with external contacts of Rivne region.
However, I find translation much more exciting than simply working with official papers, so in 2007 I started working as translator at the local cement plant, owned by Dyckerhoff AG and Buzzi Unicem. This was a great opportunity to practice English, German and Italian by translating all kinds of technical and legal documents, interpreting meetings, interpreting on site, participating in construction projects, communicating with foreign contractors, colleagues. Trip to Italian cement plants was specially useful for my technical Italian.
Meanwhile I worked for Ukraine-based translation agency Trans-Link, with which we still cooperate. My work for this agency implies technical translations for cement industry, machine building, power plants etc.
In 2008, I became Ukrainian representative of Istanbul company IRC material& production co. Ltd., which specialized in the production and sales of carbon plastic parts for glass industry. My task was to visit plants, manage Ukrainian customers, contracts and supplies.
The same year, I attended Italian language course and was awarded an Expert level certificate.
In 2011, simultaneously with my maternity leave I switched to freelance activity.
At present, approximately 50% of my activity is working directly with private customers - translation of diplomas, certificates, theses, legal documents, custom clearance papers, translations for police etc (English, German, Italian).

I make regular translations for some local companies:
TOV Vyrivskyi Karier (crushed stone quarry) - legal and technical translations from Ukrainian into German.
Ferolux - business correspondence, telephone conversations with partners in English and German.
Glass plant Consumers-Sklo-Zorya - documents translation from Italian

I love translating because it means constant development, plunging into new domains and always extending your own limits. Besides, it's a huge pleasure to provide high quality service
