My itching to see the world brought me to Barcelona in 1998 to study for a year. I was able to get a glimpse of the Catalan culture and fine-tune my Spanish and Catalan language skills. After graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2001 with a degree in Business Economics and Spanish, my love of jamón ibérico brought me back here. I taught English for some years, which gave me a new appreciation for the English language – its grammar and varieties. For a little over six years and with a certificate from International House to add to my CV, I have been putting my combination of language skills to work. I specialize in all things business, which is natural, since I spent my university years learning the jargon. Law is another area where I put my skills to use. Travel and tourism texts are very familiar to me, given that I am travel junkie. I also translate food-related texts, news articles, cultural happenings…..
No job is too big or too small. I have the energy of an enthusiast, the backup of friends that have worked for over ten years in the field, a husband from Barcelona to verify that I am always getting the right meaning and a hard-working attitude to make sure you get your work done well the first time, on time.
