I am truly a native speaker of English and Spanish.
Born in the U.S. to an American and a Mexican, I learned to speak both languages as a toddler. While living in the U.S., my family would go on extended visits to Mexico. At the age of 10, my family moved to Mexico, where I attended very reputable English-speaking schools.
Just as my education required English and Spanish, so did my jobs when living in Mexico. In 2005, I moved back to the U.S. and obtained a Bachelor's degree of Science in Management (with a 4.0 GPA).
I started translating, first for myself as a student for school assignments, then for friends and soon afterward for businesses as an additional income.
Since early 2012 I have been working 55+ hours/week translating mostly technical, business and website content and providing interpretation services at meetings, interviews, presentations, ceremonies and conferences. The experience and knowledge I gained over the years gave me the distinction of obtaining the American Translator Association certification in 2015. Please see my résumé for more details.
In short, I have used English and Spanish all my life. My brain works "both ways". I lived, studied, and worked in the U.S. and in Mexico, where I have worked and translated in a broad variety of fields.
