Currently I work as a VA (Virtual Assistant) and translator. I love Linguistics, and by that I mean everything that has to do with the spoken or written word, like the history of writing systems, learning new languages (Arabic, at the moment), Etymology, etc etc.
I have children at home, whom I homeschool. We study primarily in Arabic, but I'm teaching them English and Swedish also. I assist my husband in learning English and Swedish, as he is a speaker of another language (Arabic, initially we spoke French with eachother).
Arabic is the language of my father, but I learnt most of my Arabic from my husband, after marriage. Today I study Arabic through dictionaries and social interaction mostly.
When acquiring a new language I have the advantage of always picking up the correct accent and spelling rules first, I also have a very good eye for detail and proper grammar.
My services include, but are not limited to: booking service (travel arrangements), data entry, editing, business correspondence, e-mail management, proofreading, editing, business related purchasing, mail forwarding, mail shots, reminder service, scheduling, research, typing, transcription, translation, word processing, web content, writing services.
I also outsource work to others, when I can't take on a certain project myself. It may be because the language pair is different from the language pairs I work in, or my work load is momentarily too big.
