Bio
My interest in learning English was sparked by the Beatles, that was about 30 years ago. Then some years after that I decided to learn the language in an evening course. The reason was emigration. That was in 89, just before the Velvet Revolution. The reason to emigrate passed but my love for English really started then. I went through 3 years of intensive evening classes, then 1 year of day class (passed the general state exam in English). Soon after I found myself in England working in a freight-forwarding company - a great school of English, since my job was to talk to customers in Britain - nothing like a real experience. In England I began thinking about translating and decided to do the CPE exam. After a year I returned home and got CPE certificate organized by British Council in Brno and decided to translate for my living. After 15 years of experience I am still doing the same job and I still like it a lot.
