Picture a 12 year old French girl helping her francophone contacts converse with visitors from England. “Catherine, translate!” was empowering. That’s how I got hooked.
At 14, I translated a book on the Loch Ness Monster I had brought back from Scotland for my father. I basically never stopped translating after that, ended up teaching translation for years before taking it up as a freelance career in Western Canada. Currently working from France

I like to promote causes or products that I feel strongly about.
Literature is my personal translation candy. Travel & tourism follows closely - I walk the talk, lived in France, the UK, China and Canada. Nature, culture, education.
Specialty niches include beekeeping, health and wellness, medical cannabis and anything to do with indigenous cultures. Seriously. Who knew? Proz hasn’t figured those out yet.
