I am Dina
Mahyoub, native Arabic speaker. I have my university education from Sudan
University in Khartoum, I lived as a child in the UK and went to an
English-language primary and secondary school in Khartoum. I am fluent in - and
master - the English language oral and written, as I have also had English as a
working language for some 20 years, working in various international
organisations, including the “International Committee of the Red Cross” (ICRC)
as an interpreter Arabic/English and English/Arabic. I am living in Oslo and currently studying Norwegian and have a basic – and growing -understanding of Norwegian.
I now work
in tandem with my husband, Magne Barth, who is also registered as a freelancer
with PROZ.COM, and has Norwegian as his mother tongue and is fluent in English.
We have earlier worked more than a year in the Middle East together, as I was
interpreting for him from English to Arabic and back.
Together we
offer translation between Arabic and Norwegian, Arabic and English, and English
and Norwegian and believe we can offer a service that will satisfy your
