Source text - Italian Dieci anni sono trascorsi dalla scomparsa di Giuseppe Panza di Biumo (1923-2010), forse il primo, certo il più profetico collezionista italiano di arte contemporanea internazionale. E vent’anni sono passati dal momento in cui si apriva al pubblico la sua splendida residenza a Biumo, appena fuori Varese, con la collezione che aveva formato per questi spazi, da lui donata nel 1996, con la moglie Giovanna, al Fai-Fondo Ambiente Italiano. Nel frattempo, grazie al lavoro continuo di aggiornamento della direttrice Anna Bernardini, molto è cambiato nell’allestimento, ma in questo duplice anniversario il Fai gli dedica un omaggio riconoscente, con la mostra «Villa Panza. Un’idea assoluta. Giuseppe Panza di Biumo. La ricerca, la collezione» in cui ripresenta, fino all’1 novembre, l’allestimento della raccolta com’era al momento della donazione, nell’esatto ordinamento voluto da lui.
Translation - English Ten years have past since the disappearance of Giuseppe Panza of Biumo (1923-2010), possibly the first, certainly the most prophetic Italian International Contemporary Art collector. And twenty years have past since the moment his splendid residence's doors opened to the public in Biumo, just outside Varese, with the collection created for these enclosures, gifted by him, alongside the wife Giovanna, to the Fai-Fondo Ambiente Italiano. Meanwhile, thanks to the director Anna Bernardini's continuous update work, much has changed in the preparation. However, in this dual anniversary the Fai dedicates it an appreciative tribute, with the exhibition "Villa Panza. An absolute idea. Giuseppe Panza of Biumo. The research, the collection" in which is represented, till the 1st of November, the set-up of the collection as it was at the moment of the donation, in the exact specific order wanted by him.
