I am
Emanuela Ballo, an Italian translator, subtitler and script adapter with a Bachelor Degree in Language
Mediation and a Master Degree in Audio-visual Translation and Subtitling.
During my studies I had the chance to acquire specialised translation skills in
both English and Spanish towards and from Italian, to get acquainted with
software for translation such as Trados and do numerous translation activities
in the technical-scientific area and in the localization field.

I am a
passionate person, I am determinate and motivated and I love to always learn
new things and get in touch with people who I can learn from. I like being part
of a group, I work well with other people because I am an empathic person and,
when it is possible, I try to accommodate everybody’s needs. But I am also a
meticulous person and I like to keep everything under control to ensure that
the work is done perfectly and I am not scared to roll up my sleeves and spend
every waking moment doing a job that I know I have a tight deadline for. I am a
hardworking person and I am not afraid to work more than necessary and independently
when required to get to the results.

I've worked
as a freelance translator and subtitler, delivering numerous subtitles for
different Film Festival around Italy and I recently produced the subtitles for
the TV series "Murder, she wrote", while adapting in oversynch the talk show "The Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin".
