Bio

Hello,
welcome!

I am an English>Brazilian
Portuguese Audiovisual Translator. I majored in Linguistics and English
Literature at Federal University of Uberlândia and since my graduation I have
wanted to follow this career. One year after I finished college, I did my first
subtitling course and I was simply amazed by it.

Together with all the
courses I have done since then, I have also been a volunteer translator for TED
platform since 2016, and in total I have 6 translated videos. Besides that, I
also translated some bible reflections voluntarily for Bíblia de Estudo Website
in 2018. In 2019, I started several translation courses at Brasillis, two of
them were Subtitling Translation and Translation for Dubbing. Studying these
two areas I could see clearly how the market works and how we should face the
many challenges that will come through our way.

            After using
all I learned from my teachers, lecturers and tips given by known
professionals, I got my first job on February 2020 and I had a great review
from the agency. Furthermore, one or two months after, I participated in
Translators 101 Subtitling Contest called SubJam and I was among the Top 5.

All this knowledge I
gathered throughout the years brought me to where I am now, and I can say for
sure I am confident and experienced to do a high-quality job.
