First, digital is defined as data technology that can record and process information that is represented in discrete numerical form. The word digital comes from the same root as the word digit (the Latin word for finger) and has clear distinction of continuity and discontinuity. Recorded into analogue form in the past, information was hard to be transformed easily from device to device because each machine had different mechanical features and storage structures. However, digital information can be easily transformed and used in any device and even complicated information or moving pictures can be represented and recorded in digital.
Accordingly, digital has many advantages over analogue. Design and information storage are easy with digital. Furthermore, digital information is more accurate and precise. So, in the near future, all circulated information will be digitalized.

첫째, 디지털은 별개의 수치로 나타낸 정보를 기록하고 처리할 수 있는 데이터 기술로서 정의된다. 디지털이라는 단어는 digit (라틴어로 손가락에 해당하는)과 동일한 어근을 가지고 있으며 지속과 단절이라는 명확한 구분을 가지고 있다. 과거 아날로그 형태로 기록된 정보는 각각의 기계가 다른 기계적 특징과 저장구조를 가지고 있었기 때문에 기기에서 기기로 쉽게 변형되기 힘들었다. 그렇지만 디지털 정보는 쉽게 변형될 수 있고 어떤 기기에서도 이용될 수 있으며 심지어 복잡한 정보나 동영상도 디지털로 쉽게 나타내거나 기록될 수 있다. 따라서 디지털은 아날로그에 비해 많은 장점을 가지고 있다. 디지털로 디자인과 정보 저장이 쉽다. 더구나 디지털 정보는 더 정확하고 확실하다. 그래서 가까운 미래에는 모든 유통되는 정보들이 디지털화 될 것이다.

With realizing that Respect for human’s life and love for nature are the core value of company management, we have environment-friendly managed our power plant with local community by minimizing the emission of environmental pollutants produced after power production and its environmental effect. As a company leading green management and participating actively in green growth policy of our government, we are actively coping with the climate change by implementing greenhouse gas/energy target management system and emission trading system and are also doing our best to develop new renewable energy such as fuel cell, sunlight generation, biomass generation and wind power in order to prepare for introducing renewable portfolio standards(RPS).
