Bio

Ich habe 18 Jahre Erfahrung als Übersetzerin und bin durch World Language Services als Übersetzerin (DE-EN) zertifiziert. Nach Festanstellungen als Übersetzerin/Überprüferin bei der britischen Botschaft Berlin und der Deutschen Bundesbank habe ich wieder angefangen, als freischaffende Übersetzerin zu arbeiten.


Ich arbeite überwiegend mit SDL Trados Studio 2017. Ich bin mit folgenden Fachgebieten und Themen vertraut: Automobilmanufaktur und -technologie, IT und Fernmeldewesen, Digitalisierung, Wirtschaft/Finanz, Medizin, Verträge, Geschäftsordnungen, Protokolle und AGBs, Sicherheitsmerkblätter, Schulungsunterlagen, Werbetexte, Webseiten, Pressemitteilungen, Reden, technische Produktbezeichnungen, Kundenmitteilungen, Umweltpolitik, Sozialpolitik, Militärpolitik.

I gained a first class degree in modern languages (German and French) at Cambridge University and an MPhil in European Literature. I have 18 years’ experience as a translator (German to English) and have a certification from World Language Services.

I have worked as a freelance translator and proof-reader since 2001, and was employed for a number of years by the Defence Section of the British embassy in Berlin and subsequently by the Deutsche Bundesbank as a full-time translator. I have experience of the following subject areas: automotive, IT and telecommunications, digitalisation, economics and finance, legal (contracts, terms and conditions), auditing and minutes, medical, social sciences, arts and media, marketing and advertising, technical product descriptions, speeches and press releases, training and education.
