Unser Krankenhaus wurde ab 1950
in nur 10 Monaten als Bergarbeiterkrankenhaus,
damals vorrangig
für die gesundheitliche Betreuung und
Versorgung der Kumpel und Mitarbeiter
der SDAG Wismut, erbaut.
Unsere Einrichtung liegt inmitten einer
gepflegten Parkanlage, die unmittelbar
in größere Waldgebiete übergeht, und
dominiert ganz entscheidend das Umfeld
bzw. Territorium. Das gesamte Grundstück
umfasst eine Größe von 13 Hektar.
Die Liegenschaft und der größte Immobilienanteil
stehen auf Grund der bemerkenswerten
Gestaltung des damals als
vorbildhaft geltenden vergröberten Neoklassizismus
sowjetischer Prägung unter
Denkmalschutz. Typisch dafür ist die
rückwärtige Eingangsvorhalle mit ihren
imposanten dorischen Säulen sowie die
symmetrisch gegliederte, kompakte,
blockhaft geschlossene Front des
Hauptgebäudes. Das Baudenkmal
besteht in seiner wesentlichen Bausubstanz
aus einem mehrflügeligen Hauptgebäude
(Haus I), an dem im Laufe der
Jahre drei größere Anbauten vorgenommen
wurden (Physiotherapie, Krankenhausapotheke/
Radiologie, Küchengebäude,),
einem zweiten kleineren Klinikbzw.
Stationsgebäude (Haus II) sowie
sonstigen Nebengebäuden. Darüber hinaus
konnte im Jahr 2007 ein neuer
Gebäudekomplex – die Klinik für
Orthopädische Anschlussheilbehandlung
– seiner Bestimmung übergeben
werden.
Mit der Wende im Jahre 1989 traten
auch für das Krankenhaus gravierende
Änderungen ein. Am
01.02.1991 übernahm der Altlandkreis
Schwarzenberg als neuer
Träger das Krankenhaus Erlabrunn
mit seinen sieben Kliniken und den
dazugehörigen Fachabteilungen
als Landkreiskrankenhaus. Das
gegenwärtige Leistungsspektrum
des Hauses – mit seinen nunmehr
acht Kliniken seit 2007 – resultiert
deshalb nicht zuletzt auch aus der
Entwicklung in der Vergangenheit.
Durch die ursprünglich auf Grund
des Bergbaues relativ hohe Einwohnerzahl
des Gebietes hatte das Krankenhaus eine starke wirtschaftliche
und medizinische Autarkie. Mit
Bergbaurückgang und sinkender Bevölkerungszahl
öffnete sich das Haus und
übernahm zunehmend Aufgaben der
medizinischen Grundversorgung für den
Altlandkreis Schwarzenberg sowie für
das nähere und weitere Umfeld. Aus dieser
Sicht sind auch die überregionalen
Aufgabenstellungen, z. B. der Klinik für
Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie oder der
Klinik für Psychotherapie und Psychosomatik
oder der seit 2007 eröffneten Klinik
für Orthopädische Anschlussheilbehandlung
im Kontext des „Erlabrunner Konzeptes”
im Sinne einer ganzheitlichen
Behandlung unserer Patienten zu verstehen.
Durch Beschluss des Kreistages
Aue-Schwarzenberg vom November
1997 ging die Krankenhausträgerschaft
für das Landkreiskrankenhaus Erlabrunn
ab 1998 auf die Kliniken Erlabrunn
gGmbH über. Die Kliniken Erlabrunn
gGmbH präsentiert sich heute als Krankenhaus
der gehobenen Regelversorgung
und umfasst ein breites Leistungsspektrum.
Sie ist seit 2003 und 2006
erneut mit dem KTQ-Qualitätssiegel zertifiziert
und steht nicht nur der Bevölkerung
des Landkreises und Gästen unserer
Region bei gesundheitlichen Problemen
zur Verfügung, sondern allen, die
unsere Leistungen in Anspruch nehmen
wollen. Die Kliniken Erlabrunn gGmbH
hat sich neben dem hohen Standard der
medizinischen Versorgung mit einem
Höchstmaß menschlicher Patientenzuwendung
der komplexen bzw. ganzheitlichen
Behandlung verschrieben.

Translation - English Past – Present – Future
Originally in 1950 our hospital was built in only 10 months as a miners’ hospital, and was meant to care for the health of the miners and staff of the SDAG Wismut (Soviet German Corporation Bismuth). Our house lies in a well-kept park area which directly borders big forests and this way dominates the area resp. the territory. The whole premises are around 13 hectares in size. The estate and the biggest part of the buildings are protected as historic monuments because of the remarkable architecture in the style of Neoclassicism with Soviet character, which was considered exemplary at this time. Typical for this architecture is the backside entrance vestibule with its impressive Doric pillars as well as the symmetrically divided, compact , block-like front of the main building. The architectural monument in its basic structure consists of a multi-wing main building (Building I), to which three bigger extensions connect (Physiotherapy, Dispensary/Radiology, Kitchen building), a second smaller hospital or ward building (Building II) as well as other annexes have been added over the years. Furthermore, in 2007 a new building complex – the Clinic for Orthopedic Post-hospital curative treatment could be opened to the public officially.
In 1989 after the German unification the hospital was undergoing serious changes. On February 1, 1991 the former Administrative district Schwarzenberg became the new responsible body for the hospital Erlabrunn with its seven clinics and the associated special units which were designated as the District hospital. The wide spectrum of performance in our house presently – since 2007 it has eight clinics – results from this development in the past.
The hospital was strongly self-sufficient economically and medically because due to mining there was an originally high number of inhabitants in this area. With the decrease of mining and a declining population the house was opened to the public and began to take over tasks of primary health care for the former district Schwarzenberg as well as for the nearer and farther neighbourhoods. From this point of view the supra-regional tasks performed by e.g. the Clinic for Orthopedics and Accident Surgery or the Clinic for Psychotherapy and Psychosomatic Medicine or the Clinic for Orthopedic Post-Hospital curative treatment, which has been open since 2007, have to be understood in the context of the ‘Erlabrunn concept’ following a holistic treatment of our patients.
In November 1997 the district government Aue-Schwarzenberg decided that the supporting organization of the district hospital Erlabrunn starting from 1998 would be the CLINICS ERLABRUNNgGmbH non-profit private limited company. Today the CLINICS ERLABRUNNgGmbH present themselves as a hospital of upscale regular health care and covers a wide spectrum of performance.
Again it has been awarded the KTQ certificate for quality since 2003 and 2006 and is available not only to the people of the district and its guests with health problems but to anyone who wishes to use our services. Besides high standards of medical care with the highest possible devotion to the patient, the CLINICS ERLABRUNNgGmbH dedicates itself to complex or holistic medical treatment.
