I have a degree in engineering (logging) and a master's in translation; have done formal interpretation studies at a master's level for a semester.
Have been translating and interpreting between Latvian and English (occasionally also Russian) for about 30 years. Fields of expertise: mostly technical things (though no IT), EU texts, arts & humanities.
Currently, working as a freelance translator/interpreter and an auditor for a responsible forestry scheme (FSC). Have been working with SDL Trados 2014 since its release.
