Source text - English The Kirkuk Strategic Corn Silo is a State Owned Enterprise (SOE) that is owned by the Government of Iraq – principally the Ministries of Finance and Agriculture – and is operated by Mesopotamia Nahrain Company (hereafter, Nahrain).
This is a project to complete installation and activation of a 50,000 metric ton strategic corn storage facility that will serve northern Iraq. This facility was previously completed up to a level of approximately 80% in 2003 and has been dormant since then. Completion activities entail civil and mechanical works, installation and integration of operating components and minor supply of electrical components. All major and essential mechanical / electrical components are available and have been stored on site since approximately 2003. Completion of this strategic facility eliminates a major storage bottleneck that is currently inhibiting agricultural growth in northern Iraq. Adequate grain storage is a key element of the value chain supporting increased feed and livestock production, and reduces regional reliance on imported grain products.

هذا المشروع يضمن استكمال تركيب وتفعيل 50,000 طن متري لخزن الذرة الواقعة في شمال العراق. تم انجاز ما يقارب 80 ٪ من المشروع في عام 2003 ، وقد توقفت عملية اكمال السايلو منذ ذلك الحين. يترتب على إنجاز واكمال السايلو اعمال مدنية وميكانيكية، تركيب وتكميل مكونات التشغيل وتجهيز المكونات الكهربائية الثانوية. جميع المكونات ألاساسية الكهربائية / الميكانيكية موجودة ومخزونة في الموقع منذ عام 2003. ان اكمال هذه المنشأة الاستراتيجية يزيل بعض العوائق التي تحول حاليا دون النمو الزراعي في شمال العراق. موقع مناسب لتخزين الحبوب هو عنصر رئيسي في السلسلة القيمية لدعم زيادة الانتاج الحيواني والاعلاف، وهذا يقلل من الاعتماد على استيراد منتجات الحبوب.
