A petrolhead by heart, wordsman by proffesion. I've been in love with cars since my early childhood, thinking about them, reading about them and, later, writing about them.
What begun as a student's job, writing about old American cars for a small Czech website, evolved into full-time and probably also life-long proffesion.
Seven years ago, I got the opportunity to work as translator for Czech edition of Autocar magazine. Later, I went on to work for TopGear, F1 Racing and Speed magazines as well, continuing my cooperation with Autocar.
I became a motoring writer as well, working for several magazines, including the ones mentioned above.
But I've never considered this a work, it was more like a paid hobby to me. So, what do I call WORK, when writing about cars is my hobby?
Well, writing about cars. As a copywriter, I worked on many projects for Škoda Auto, the biggest Czech auto manufacturer. From headlines and claims to website content and newsletter, I've been doing all kinds of writing you can encounter in auto industry.
They say that to translate, or maybe "transcreate" the text properly, you need to have ability to write it on your own. And to be good at anything, you need to have a passion for it.
If your text has anything to do with cars, I'm the one you need. |
