I firmly believe that good translation skills can only be maintained by continual and long-term spoken and written practice. I have had the privilege of traveling extensively for several years in French and Russian-speaking countries, and so for both personal and professional reasons, I have maintained strong ties with friends and business acquaintances around the world.
I have a master's degree in history from the University of Illinois, where I specialized on the history of different language communities and conflicts in the Russian Empire. Both in my research and as a freelance translator, I have had extensive experience using and translating many languages. I am fluent in French and Russian and have a good reading knowledge of Spanish, Italian, Latin, German, and Dutch. |
