Her mission in my modest tract of suburbia is, however, about more than offering sympathy. Hempel—the woman who invented the boutique hotel before it bore any such proprietary name—has come to give me information for which, judging by the spreads in interiors magazines and anxious postings on online DIY forums, half the property-owners in the Western world seem desperate: how to give an ordinary home the look and the vibe of a five-star, £750-a-night hotel suite. To Hempelise, in this case, a modest conversion flat formed from the middle slice of a three-storey Victorian semi.
"You could do it," she says, casting an eye around my kitchen. "Anyone could do it. Absolutely no reason why not. But there has to be continuity between the rooms. A single idea must be followed through." She looks out wistfully over the fire escape. "And you'd have to buy the house next door, of course." That's a joke. I think.

Abstract: Despite a number of advertised improvements, it seems that FIFA 14 easily outclasses PES 2014.
This week both FIFA 14 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 are going on sale and once again fuelling the debate over which is the greatest football simulation game. However, the previews for the game suggest that this is a fairly straightforward decision. FIFA is clearly better than last year’s in a number of ways while PES 2014 doesn’t seem to be anywhere near as good as last year’s.
Konami has put the emphasis on the ‘Fox Engine’ at the core of PES 2014 as well as other advances such as true ball motion, collision physics, gameplay momentum, improved animations and artificial intelligence and teamplay. However, the game has a relatively small number of teams and leagues to choose from and has menus which looked better designed for PC. Furthermore, the stadium graphics were poorly drawn and seemed more 2D than 3D. Close-up animations were good, however, the movement tended to be very jerky.
On the other hand the players did play more like real football players and the physics does seem to have had a good impact on collisions.
While FIFA 14 isn’t perfect, it certainly seems to be far superior to PES 2014, and with both games selling for the same price, it seems likely that FIFA will win the rating war.

• Translation: USD 0.05 - 0.09 per word, USD 20.00 - 30.00 per hour
• Proofing and Editing: USD 0.03 – 0.05 per word, USD 15.00 – 20.00 per hour
• Minimum Rate: USD 20.00
• I prefer working on per word basis and accept PayPal and Wire Transfer
• Rates are negotiable if: I like you or your project, or if vlumes are high; or if my wife says so!!
• I have no issues with people who charge less or more. After all, everybody knows his/her worth.
I love languages, specially my mother tongue Hindi and its
originator Sanskrit. I think I am an excellent linguist.
Do I sound over-confident or arrogant even? Well, it may be
but then my confidence stems from countless number of hours spent in front of
computer meticulously going through each word, line, Para, page and project …
and producing something which makes life easier for someone totally unknown to
me. The process may be back-breaking but it gives immense satisfaction and
