caused when germs that are found in soil and manure get into the body through open cuts or burns. Tetanus cannot be passed
from person to person.

Tetanus je nemoc napadající nervový systém; může vést ke svalovým stahům (spasmám), způsobit dýchací problémy a může vést ke smrti. Onemocnění vzniká, když se bakterie, které jsou přítomné v půdě a hnoji, dostanou otevřenými ránami do těla. Tetanus se nepřenáší z člověka na člověka.
