Source text - Spanish Todos podemos ser un poco meteorólogos. Basta con observar algunos de los fenómenos que ocurren a nuestro alrededor para poder intuir el tiempo que va a hacer durante las próximas horas. ¿Sabía que se puede calcular la temperatura del aire simplemente contando los chirridos que emite un grillo o que el punto del arroz de su paella depende, entre otras cosas, de la presión atmosférica?
Aunque no lo parezca, la meteorología es una de las ciencias más complejas que existen y, posiblemente, la que más influye en el día a día del ser humano. En España y otros países del mundo somos muchas las personas que, a diario, dependemos del tiempo. Por un lado, quienes viven en la ciudad, por falta de tiempo libre, tienen que planificar al dedillo sus actividades al aire libre. Por otro, las personas que viven directamente de la tierra o del mar dependen del tiempo para subsistir. En cada rincón del planeta, el tiempo es a diario tema de conversación, ya sea porque mañana puede ser aconsejable llevar el paraguas o la gabardina a mano, o porque el sol va a ser tan fuerte que sea recomendable aplicarse una crema solar de factor 15.
Translation - English We can all be a bit of a meteorologist. It is enough to observe some of the phenomenons that occur around us to be able to know by intuition what the weather is going to be like during the next couple of hours. In Spain and other countries of the world we are many people who daily depend on the weather. On one hand, those who live in the city, because of lack of free time, have to plan thoroughly their open air activities. On the other hand, the people who live directly by the land or sea depend on the weather to subsist. In every corner of the planet, the weather is a daily theme of conversation, be it because tomorrow it may be advisable to take an umbrella or raincoat in hand, or because the sun is going to be so strong that its is recommended to apply a sunscreen of SPF 15.
