Bio

I'm a French to English literary translator. Most recently, I worked with Hodder & Stoughton on the uplifting and hilarious novel The Car Share (L’Habit ne fait pas le moineau). I worked with French author Céline Saint-Charle to bring her collection of short stories about humanity with all its flaws and splendors to an American audience. Less recently, I self-published the long dream-allegory poem The Book of the Path of Long Learning (Le Livre du chemin de long estude) by Christine de Pizan. The medieval poet and I developed a deep relationship in the process, and I even get mail for her from Amazon!

I delight in working with the intricacies of language and am careful to translate both the text and tone of works. I also have experience editing translations for the American market. In the early 2000s, I worked with ESL translators to bring New Soccer Techniques, Tactics & Teamwork as well as Knitting School: A Complete Course to publication with Sterling Publishers.

I am interested in works that explore the diversity of humanity from the happy and uplifting to the flaws and moral failings. I would love to help you bring your vision of humanity to the English-speaking world by translating your novels, short stories, and other writings.
