I am a native American-English speaker, have a JD and practiced law in Seattle for 10 years in the areas of criminal law, medical malpractice and workers compensation before relocating to Germany. Having worked as in-house counsel for the State Department of Health prosecuting phsycians and veterinarians on licensing revocation actions, I developed a broad knowledge of medicine. I have also edited a law review.
I translate primarily academic articles for publication in English language journals in the areas of medicine (speciality: clinical trials, psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine) and law (criminal and health law).
I have formal university education in anatomy, pharmacology and ornithology, with some experience in field research in the latter. Ornithology is a life-long hobby and I would be happy to accept work in that area.
